April 4th How to Attract and Photograph Backyard Wildlife

The Decatur Camera Club is sponsoring a workshop “How to Attract and Photograph Backyard Wildlife” Sat. April 4 from 1- 3 pm at the Rock Springs Nature Center in Decatur.  Richard and Susan Day of Daybreak Imagery (members of IL Audubon) will be the presenters.  It costs $15 per person to participate with advance registration and $20 at the door if space is available.  Visit the Club’s website for more details: http://decaturcameraclub.net/
April 24th - 26th Cache River Nature Festival
May 1st - 3rd Spring Gathering -- Hosted by Shawnee Chapter
Based out of San Damiano Retreat (locatd on the bluffs overlooking the Ohio River), the Spring Gathering will feature birding fieldtrips to the Shawnee National Forest and the Cache River Wetlands. Check the website for more information at www.shawneeaudubon.org.

May 15th - 17th Southern Illinois Field trip
Friday, May 15 (5:00 p.m.) through Sunday, May 17 (1:00 p.m.)
    Annual Illinois Audubon Southern Illinois Trip (throughout Shawnee Forest area) To observe 120+ species including most of the southern Illinois specialties.  The trip will include visits to several Shawnee Forest sites, Union County Conservation Area, Mermet Lake Conservation Area, Heron Pond Nature Preserve and Cypress Creek National Wildlife Refuge.

June 5th - 7th Northwest Illinois Field Trip
Friday, June 5 (5:00 p.m.) through Sunday, June 7 (1:00 p.m.)
   Annual Illinois Audubon Trip to Northwestern Illinois.  To observe 100+ species including many of the northwestern Illinois  specialties.  The trip will include visits to Mississippi Palisades State Park, Lost Mound National Wildlilfe Refuge, portions of the Upper Mississippi National Wildlife Refuge, Green River Conservation Area, Lowden Miller State Forest and Nachusa Grasslands.
