The sum total of birds banded to date is 1290 (from August 31 through October 28). In the last four banding days, 496 birds were banded (October 24 = 125, October 26 = 110, October 27 = 123 and October 28 = 138) The list is heavy on Eastern Phoebes, Yellow-rumped and Orange-crowned Warblers, Hermit Thrushes, Brown Creepers, White-throated Sparrows and American Goldfinches. 

There is a good chance we may achieve (or surpass) 70 species this fall.  Some good potentials are: Sharp-shinned Hawk, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Cedar Waxwing, American Tree Sparrow, Chipping Sparrow, White-crowned Sparrow (and, perhaps, something unexpected).  Of course, we could also add Mouring Dove, European Starling, House Finch and House Sparrow if we tried hard enough.
