Southern Illinois Field trip (May 18-20, 2012)
Annual Illinois Audubon Southern Illinois Trip (throughout Shawnee Forest area.) Locations visited: several Shawnee Forest sites, Union County Conservation Area, Mermet Lake Conservation Area, Heron Pond Nature Preserve and Cypress Creek National Wildlife Refuge. Registration Information
Northwest Illinois Field Trip (TBA)
Annual Illinois Audubon Trip to Northwestern Illinois. Locations visited: Mississippi Palisades State Park, Lost Mound National Wildlilfe Refuge, portions of the Upper Mississippi National Wildlife Refuge, Green River Conservation Area, Lowden Miller State Forest and Nachusa Grasslands. 
Central Illinois Prairie Chicken Trip (March 30-31 2012)
Visit the Prairie Ridge State Natural Area to observe and listen to the chickens on their booming ground around sunrise.  Travel to nearby areas (including IAS’ Robert Ridgway Sanctuary) in search of more prairie/grassland species and make a trip to the “closed” portion of Newton Lake Fish & Wildlife Area for waterfowl and other wetland species.   Registration Information

Saw-Whet Owl Trip Trip to Wisconsin, October 6-8, 2012
Travel to Linwood Springs Research Station near Stevens Point, Wisconsin for fall saw-what banding.   The itinerary also includes visits to Sand Bluff Observatory in northern Illinois,  International Crane foundation in Baraboo, Leigh-Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, and Necedah Wildlife Refuge.  Cost of trip includes transportation and motels (double occupancy) and entrance fees.
Birds & Bridges, June 1-3, 2012
